Ammonium Di Chromate
PHYSICAL PROPERTIES : Ammonium dichromate is a bright red orange crystalline solid at room temperature.It is easily soluble in water and alcohol.It readily decomposes on slight heating to produce chromium oxide, nitrogen gas, and water vapour. It acts as a strong oxidizer too.

USES : Ammonium dichromate is widely used in the production of data storage tapes . It can also be used as a catalyst in chemical reaction and in the formation of chromium dioxide . Being a strong oxidizer, it is also used as an oxidizing agent . It finds its application in engraving ,oil picking ,pyrotechnics formulation and in oil purification . It is also used in explosives , photography ,lithography and as a mordant for dyeing .
